FACTORY | made is a collaborative creative lab and retail showroom where independent artists, designers and makers can develop, produce and market original goods and merchandise.

We support creative commerce by expanding opportunities to bring good ideas to market, and providing a forum for the art and design community.

who, what, when, where and why?

FACTORY | made is led by a multidisciplinary team experienced in design, fabrication, merchandising  and youth mentoring. With creative production, retail and mentoring under one roof, FACTORY | made is a place to make things happen, and to learn how to make things better.

As a part of a growing community of local, social and creative entrepreneurs, we value responsible commerce, innovation, and integrity; we encourage meaningful relationships, we care deeply, and we believe we are all capable of making the world a better place. We think good art and design can be accessible to all, and everyone can have the opportunity to turn a good idea into a good business.

FACTORY | made was founded in partnership with AIM House, a young-adult mentoring program. We provide a creative path for the next generation of makers to connect with artists and designers in the community, to build experience, to explore a passion and to discover how capable, resilient and resourceful they truly are.

FACTORY | made youth program participants have access to individualized mentoring and instruction, group classes, and use of the facility during open-lab times. They can also apply for internships in design, marketing and merchandising. We offer merchandising opportunities through made for products created at the FACTORY to be marketed and sold as part of the FACTORY | made label.
